Dr. O’Brien is a doctor of veterinary medicine and certified in veterinary acupuncture.

 

She received her degree from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine where she was exposed to traditional and alternative medicine. She went on to earn her Acupuncture Certification from the Chi Institute.

 

From an early age, she was drawn to helping animals and would collect food for animal shelters and walk animals for older adults for her Girl Scout community service projects. While still in high school, she volunteered at the Plainfield Area Humane Society and worked at the Paulus Animal Hospital in North Brunswick, NJ.  Later on, she worked at the Wolfwood Refuge in Colorado, assisting with the educational programs at the refuge.

After working at the San Francis Veterinary Hospital & Acupuncture Center in Florida, she relocated back to her home state of New Jersey. Her goal is to provide at home acupuncture therapy in conjunction with local veterinarians.
